If you remember, last year I counted down to my big day starting from July 2nd. Do you remember? It seems somewhat inappropriate this year... and yet, I think, somewhat appropriate.
When I see someone dear to me struggling to hold on, I feel a strong desire to celebrate each day and to live each day as though it could be my last... And yet I don't feel like actually celebrating.
Fortunately, Paul and I are headed to my hometown this weekend, so the decision is made for me, and I won't have time to countdown for the next four days, so today will be it... 10 days until my 27th birthday!
But since you're already here reading this, I implore you to live each day to the fullest and celebrate & appreciate each and every day that you are given. It's important. I promise.

We were already counting down to 7/11, so glad you made it official. Hope you guys have a great time in Nebraska (no, that's not an oxymoron).
I have a little experience with being thankful for every day, and as the struggle gets tougher and the frequency of really good days spreads out, I am even more thankful for every day I've had for 60 years and particularly for the the ones over the past 15 months. And, now, even for the great moments in otherwise difficult days.
You really should find a way to share your wisdom and life experience with a broader audience than your friends and the readers of this blog because you are packing a lot of sagacity for a 27-year-old (almost). Maybe even as a career--though I don't want you living in a van down by the river.
By the way, really cool fish eye picture. You're very good at those!!
One week and counting. Hope you have a great Fourth in Nebraska.
5 days and counting! woot! what do you want for your bday?? :)
